murfGUY Stream Pins!
WHAT!?
Pins are an in-stream interactive "game". Part pin-collecting. Part blind-box. Part Easter Egg Hunt! Pins come in a variety of "sets" which have a common theme. And you unlock new sets by interacting with the stream or by progressing your pin collection.
HOW!?
Pins cost "Snacks", a currency dispensed by murf_bot. Use the !pin command to collect your first pin! Pin Sets are unlocked by both building your collection and/or interacting with the stream in various ways. What those ways are a mystery so poke around and find out!
So what's the deal now?
murf is hard at work making this work and is now in an active Beta test on stream! Please feel free to lend a hand.
Right now there are several sets to collected from. Only the 'murf & Gang' set is available by default. As you progress your collection, or find hidden unlocks, or collect certain pins, you'll find new sets to unlock and collect from!
Since this is a Beta test, code is generally stable and most features are functional. However, new features are still in the works, so expect occasional updates and improvements.
Beta collections may be subject to reset as I work out bugs and make improvements, but should hopefully be stable for the time being. But don't worry, I'll try to give you a heads up if I need to do that!
Active Features & Commands
Features
- On-screen effects for when you collect pins, unlock sets, and complete sets.
- Collections are tracked across streams and can be reported to you when you use the
!myPinscommand. - Unlock new sets by:
- Interacting with channel rewards to trigger hidden unlocks.
- Finding hidden unlock triggers in various chat commands.
- Unlocking a certain number of pins/percentage of pins in a specific set.
- Randomly unlock sets as you collect unique pins and make progress in your collection.
- Other various stream activity.
!newSetcommand to unlock a random new set.
- Pin Series: Groups of pins that unlock in a specific order.
- Pin Points: A numerical tally of your collection. More rare pins are worth more points.
- Leaderboards (
!pinLeaders) and Ranks (!pinRank) based on your collection progress and "Pin Points" total. - Trading and Selling Pins:
- Each pin you collect has a unique token associated with it that you can use to identify it! Looks like:
A1B2C3D4 !sell [token]command to sell a pin from your collection for Snacks. The amount of Snacks you get is based on the rarity of the pin.!give [token] [username]command to give a pin from your collection to another user.

- Anti-frustration features:
- When collecting a random pin from a set, you won't get the same pin twice in a row.
- Completed sets have a much lower chance to be selected for collection.
- Newly unlocked sets have a much higher chance to be selected for collection.
- Sets that are nearly complete have a much higher chance to be selected for collection.
- Unlock random sets as you collect unique pins and make progress in your collection. So the more you collect, the more you can collect!
!newPincommand to get a guaranteed new pin from your unlocked sets.

- Commands (new and updates):
- !mySets: Reports your current pin set collection status.
- !findToken "set name": Finds the most recent pin you collected from the specified set and reports it's name and token. Spelling is critical. Capitalization is not.
- !nextSet: Reports how many unique pins you currently have and how many more you need to unlock your next random set.
- !setPin: Gets a random pin from a specific set that user has requested.
- !getHint: Gets a hint for a random locked set.
- Other Features:
- Allow "set name" to use abbreviations/shorthand.
- Special "Stream Family" pin set that allows viewers to make pins of themselves, but has unique restrictions in backend tabulations and overlay events.
- Website:
- Public collection profiles so you can show off your collection to your friends!
- Leaderboards and Ranks pages so you can see how you stack up against other collectors.
